With hempcrete and bamboo planks, Deture Culsign reimagines the log cabin. Along the main road in the small town of Mena, AR, where tourist traverse to access the scenic drive of the Talimena, sits a collection of 2-story cabins. Sited to maximize visibility and room count while providing plenty of indoor and outdoor communal spaces to be enjoyed at this self-managed property. Designing each cabin to be adjoined between floors allows both small and large groups to have their own space.
